We felt like we had won the lottery when we arrived at the apartment. The space was wonderful with every need catered for. It’s in the heart of the old town so perfectly located for trips to the beaches and the bars. We particularly enjoyed barbecues on the roof in the evening.

Our family of five had the perfect stay in Nora and Tim's extra-large condo. The views were unmatched and the location could not have been better for walking to our favorite restaurants. As with any stay, little things come up and Nora was very quick to respond and helpful throughout the trip with anything we needed.

We chose this apartment based on location as we were travelling with parents who were both 80, and worried about the hills of Nerja. It worked out perfectly being right on the waterfront with easy access to both the beaches and main town. The apartment was very spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for a beach holiday. We particularly liked the balcony and roof terrace, and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful.

From our first enquiry to departure, this has been a stress free booking and a most enjoyable experience. The accommodation was clean, airy, really spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Tuhillo is just the best place to stay and this apartment was the icing on the cake! Breakfast or evening night cap on the balcony or rooftop with stunning views of the sea. A quiet neighbourhood but still central to all the wonderful restaurants and local supermarkets. Nora, our host, was great to communicate with us, making sure our check-in was problem free. Thank you so much, Nora and Tim, for sharing your wonderful apartment with us. I hope we are able to return next year!

We are back after our lovely week in Nerja.  We had a great time and the weather was lovely.  We had some lovely meals out, particularly enjoyed Unico and Le Bottega which were as good as ever. We hired a car for a day and went to Ronda which was beautiful, well worth the drive.  My sister who is celebrating her 60th this Friday really enjoyed the trip.  No doubt she will want to return for her 70th!

 Thank you once again for letting us rent your lovely apartment, it was wonderful to have so much space and of course the fabulous view.

 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and time in Nerja at this condo. Short walk to everything one would need. Burriana beach is fantastic; enjoyed morning runs along the waterfront and evening strolls through the town. Highly recommend!

 We had a brilliant week in Nerja. The apartment was great, very spacious, the most stunning sea view and very well equipped. We had three generations staying and all were well catered for. The toys kept the kids well occupied between trips to the beach and pool and the kitchen/bbq facilities allowed us to cook some great food. The location is great for the beach, a short walk down the steps to the lovely fine pebble beach. The water is perfectly clear and we swam and snorkelled every day. The beach umbrellas provided were a great addition in the august sun. The pool was lovely, clean and warm. There was always loungers and plenty of shade provided by the trees if needed. The Balcon de Europa is about a 10 minute walk providing many options for shopping and restaurants. We thoroughly recommend this apartment and the hosts were very helpful.

We had the best week. We wish we had of been able to stay longer. The apartment was fantastic, the kids were so pleased with the toys, the train track was a big hit. We will definitely be in touch to stay again at some point.

Fantastic apartment with the most stunning view. Even more amazing than the pictures are showing. You never get tired of it. We spent time from morning to night on the wonderful terrace outside the living room overlooking the sea, and our kids loved the swimming pool in the garden. The apartment is located in the center of the city, 5 minutes away from the balcony. It’s huge with lots of space for 7 people and it’s very comfortable, nicely and modern furnished. And it’s really nice with the private terrace on the roof.

We simply LOVE Nerja, so much alive, lots of shops and good restaurants. And still the ocean and the beach. We will back! The owners Nora and Tim are the nicest people in the world and everything is taken care of if you go there!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tuhillo 3L and absolutely fell in love with Nerja!! The views from the apartment are incredible, made all the more enjoyable with the ample comfortable patio furniture -- perfect for enjoying the sunrise with coffee or sunset with a gin & tonic. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed. Doing laundry was especially easy, given the multiple rooftop drying lines. We did not have a car and did not need one at all. Grocery stores, many many amazing restaurants and cafes, and lots of shopping are all within an easy, enjoyable, walking distance. The owners were very pleasant to work with. Check-in was seamless and easy (the owners even included a map with walking directions from the bus station since we were arriving by bus). We look forward to returning someday!!

During a family trip in May/June we stayed in Nora and Tim’s apartment. We had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend it. In addition to being in a prime location just above Carabeillo and Burriana beaches, it is also close to Balcon de Europa and the town center with its narrow streets, beautiful shops, and excellent restaurants. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two living rooms in this clean and spacious apartment. It also has a big roof terrace and a balcony with fabulous sea views. Nora and Tim are the best hosts, they answered all our questions and even arranged a taxi for us from the airport. We would love to stay with Tim and again. are just back from a fantastic week in Nerja. Me, my wife and my son had a magic week in Your amazing apartment that have the best location in Nerja. Thanks a lot for moving our dates forward for covid.

For the second time we (family with 6 people) spent our summer holidays in Nora and Tim's spacious apartment. The apartment is in an exclusive location and is surrounded by a beautiful and well-kept garden with pool. The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Starting with the nicely furnished rooms, the comfortable mattresses, the silent air conditioning, the good WiFi connection, to the well-stocked large kitchen in which we have conjured up many fine menus. 

The only downer was that all three frying pans were so badly scratched that they were no longer usable. However, this did not spoil our holiday mood in any way. After we bought a new frying pan at the small but fine weekly market in Nerja, we were able to indulge our passion for cooking!

We have enjoyed many sociable and unforgettable evenings on the wonderful balcony with the breathtaking view. For 2023 we have already booked 2 weeks 3L Tuhillo again!

Excellent location just minutes walk from Balcon de Europa, and on the other side, Burriana Beach. Cleverly designed with the most amazing views. Loads of living space. Traditional decor and might need to be refreshed in places but was spotlessly clean with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Balcony and roof terraces were well furnished and very spacious. Communication with owners was excellent. Loved it.

A group of 5 siblings we arrived at the apartment and everything was ready for us. The owners arranged the taxi pick up for us and the driver had the apt. keys. Upon entering we were met with an amazing view of the sea which I just love. The apartment has all the facilities you could ask for. Lovely patio with ample seating and table for dining out. There is also a lovely roof terrace with sun beds and dining table and chairs plus barbeque. There are 4 bedrooms well fitted. It is just a 7 minutes stroll into the centre where there are numerous restaurants restaurants. The bus station is just 5minutes uphill from apt. and a trip to malaga is only 8 euro return, you can also get buses to various places. Tim and Nora the owners were super easy to deal with which means a great deal. I would have no qualms recommending this apartment.

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing apartment with us, it was perfectly suited to our family needs and superbly situated for the beach ,bars and many different restaurants. All of us (who range from 18 to 57) have enjoyed every moment from the minute we arrived and I would just like to let you know that the services you provided were excellent, the apartment was very clean, passport check easy to find and efficient. The transfer service you suggested were superb , they were prompt and very welcoming. We had a lovely holiday,returning to Nerja for our 20th visit .The apartment was in a beautiful situation,overlooking the sea and burriana beach.the apartment was reached by 40 steps,which was a bit of a challenge with luggage,but the views made up for this.the apartment was very well equipped with plenty of crockery,glassware etc.the air conditioning was a great bonus,especially in the bedrooms.we could not have asked for a more spacious apartment.the lounges and terrace were fabulous.unfortunately it was too hot to make use of the lovely roof terrace,except to use the barbecue.my grandson loved the lego.we thought there was no english t.v programmes until i inadvertently found the instructions the day before our departure.the pool area was lovely and used everyday sometimes most of the day.all in all a lovely holiday

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Tim and Nora’s penthouse apartment. On arrival we were greeted with brilliant views over the Mediterranean Sea, views to die for every morning eating breakfast. The apartment is very well equipped with everything anyone would want during a holiday. Restaurants and shops a stroll away, so no necessity for a car. We hired a car to travel from Malaga Airport to Nerja and found parking very easy in the large public car park two minutes away. Burriana Beach is a ten minute walk away down a bit of an incline but well worth it. It’s easier by car but its a bit of a risk as to whether or not you would get a parking spot as there is quite a bit of building work on the back road around the beach. We found mornings easiest for parking. All in all a fantastic holiday in a wonderful apartment. We hope to return in the not too distant future.

We were 2 workaholic couples on vacation for a week. The minute we stepped out on to that amazing balcony, our stress levels dropped. And that's how our entire week passed. Bliss and comfort and zero hassles. We could do as much or as little as we wished; great cultural sites are 1-2 hour drives away; the beach is close at hand, as are a variety of restaurants and because the apartment is just slightly outside the busiest area, it's always quiet and feels like a proper neighbourhood. The facilities are first rate, and well maintained, with comfortable beds, immaculate bathrooms and a really useful kitchen. Because of the spacious indoor setup, each couple had loads of personal space. This spot is ideal for families, friends and couples. We are already telling our friends to hurry up and book.

We spent a wonderful week in Tim & Nora's penthouse. The location was perfect with beach & pool just below us, shops & bars close by and just a 5 min walk into the centre. The views are to die for and can be enjoyed from either of 2 sea facing balconies or a massive roof terrace. Extremely well equipped with everything you could ask for. Tim & Nora were absolutely wonderful - organising taxi transfer from the airport for us and sending all the information we needed prior to the trip. Their green binder, in the apartment, was also a great source of information about the property and the local area. Couldn't fault anything & can't wait to return. Thank you so much Tim & Nora

We were a party of seven (age range 12 to 70's), the apartment was fantastic and so spacious and It must have one of the best veiws in Nerja! It is also in my opinion perfectly placed as it is roughly the same distance to walk to either the older part of town or the main beach area, both have great restarants. Nerja has some fabulous places to eat and we always had great food. There is plenty of watersports from pedalos to para-sailing. The guys in our group went for a quad bike tour one morning and really enjoyed it. The Nerja caves are worth a visit (best to book in advance) and are just a bus ride away. The Family Spence, June 2017

This seaside penthouse provided the perfect base for our wonderful Spring tour of colourful Andalusia. This apartment is the best location in Nerja, a picturesque wonderfully preserved Costa del Sol village. The apartment is perfect - quiet, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, cool and well laid out with stunning views of the Mediterranean sea, and adjacent beaches. Tim and Nora were so helpful, and even arranged transportation from the Malaga Airport to our home away from home. Their green binder in the apartment provided lots of useful information to help us plan our stay. We all felt at home from the first day. Beginning our days with a leisurely breakfast prepared in a well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed on the large balcony overlooking the beautiful blue Mediterranean. (The boys' job was to buy fresh still warm bread each morning from the friendly baker just up the street learning a few Spanish words in the transaction. ) And each night, tumbling into the comfy beds and falling asleep to the sounds of the sea. Access, by a handsome curved staircase, to a large private roof-top terrace as well as the building’s well-maintained gardens and pool are lovely extras. The location is perfect - short walks to beaches, shops and restaurants, and also easily accessible to the other towns and cities of Southern Spain. Nerja is a lovely town with friendly helpful people, an excellent variety of restaurants, interesting shops and of course lots of the most delicious "helado". Thank you, Tim and Nora, for providing the base for us to create some wonderful family memories. We hope to return again.

Immaculate, spacious, comfortable with a beautiful view overlooking the water. Functional modern kitchen, bath and laundry facilities with all the comforts and accessories for a most enjoyable vacation. Open, bright and airy rooms and amazing balcony/veranda - overlooking the sparking ocean. The upper level terrace was a great bonus. Location was walking distance to lovely restaurants, shopping, centre square and walk to beach. The owners were fabulous - provided information about the property as well as things to do in the area - they really wanted to ensure our stay with enjoyable and memorable. The very best accommodations I have enjoyed in Europe - beautifully kept, modern with all the comforts of home. Incredible view of the ocean from the oversized balcony - breakfast and evening sunsets enjoyed there daily. Walking distance to city square with abundance of local and fine dining, not mention history. Close to everything -shopping, museums, art, shopping and loved walking to the beautiful beach. This penthouse exceeded all our expectations. The owner, a retired architect, has turned two penthouses into a large and complete penthouse. It is a real second house, fully equipped kitchen, double shower, once with bath, fine beds, wifi, BBQ, dishwasher, washing machine etc. When you enter one of the two living rooms, immediately a beautiful sea view with waving trees. Unique! Within a few minutes you can walk to the cozy center, including the so-called Balcon of Europe. Small shops with fresh bread e.d. across the street. Beautiful cities like Granada and Malaga are an hour's drive away. No elevator in the building, so people with poor legs should keep in mind that there are a number of steps to walk before you get to the house. For us absolutely susceptible to repetition.

I spent a wonderful two weeks here celebrating a big birthday with three friends. We had lots of space, much more than you usually get with these rentals. We each had our own comfy bedroom and it was easy to share the two bathrooms. We love to cook, so it was great to find a modern, well equipped kitchen. The weather was fab, and we spent most of our time on the big terrace looking out at the sea or up on the roof for an evening bbq. (When we weren’t in the pool or down at the beach eating paella!) The nice thing about Nerja is that it’s a real place and not just a tourist trap. We spent lot of evenings strolling around town, stopping for tapas (and drinks!) along the way. We found the whole Tuhillo complex very well maintained, and the penthouse squeaky clean. And it was a real bonus to deal with people as pleasant as Tim and Nora. They really did their very best to accomodate our every wish or need.

We highly recommend this fabulous apartment and the friendly treatment
we got in contact with the host.

The apartment is bright, spacious and practical furnished. It suited
us perfectly. We enjoyed the nice patio and the roof terrace. We
appreciated that it was clean and well maintained.
The common pool area was quiet and although it was well managed.

The apartment is centrally located but in a quiet area, with direct
access to the sea and walking distance to downtown.

Your penthouse in Nerja is stunning. We loved
the space, the fact that the bedrooms were separated from the living
space, and the two patios, both of which we enjoyed often. We loved
the
pool, and the nearness to the beach and the town without being in the
depths of it. Every evening we went exploring for a different place to
dine, the weather was fantastic. Having the transportation arranged
for
us was a real bonus too, and one less thing to worry about.

All in all, our stay was fantastic and your accommodation was the
perfect fit for us with our two adult daughters. I'm so glad that we
chose your penthouse and that everything worked in our favour.

What can I say? This was a tremendous experience for my family. (6 of us). The views were unbelievable, the appartment stunning. "We've been to many villas/penthouses that make promises that cause you to slump in dissapointment when you walk in. That was not the case at Tuhilo in Nerja! Our hearts soared as we ran from room to room to see how spacious,well apppointed and clean this property is. You could spend your entire stay on the balcony and still feel you've had a holiday. Stunning, simply stunning! this quaint seaside town is delightful. What you should know: #1: wear comfie shoes for hiking this hilly town; #2: long way down to this beach not bad but the trek back is difficult in the heat. Bring water but be sure to go to the all you can eat paella at Ayo Beach Restauarant ; #3: go to the little shop on the corner if you like British imported food-its' a life saver if you want to eat in; #4: go to Joye Pub Internet Cafe, up the street as it is a great meeting place to bump into people form all over the world; and last but not least do find out about having a night out in Almunecar at Barbacoa y Flamenco, for the greatest, most authentic Spanish bbq and flamenco dancing you'll ever see. "This place is just perfect for lots of reasons! Here are a few....We stayed in this spacious split level penthouse for 10 nights end of Sept 09 beginning of Oct. Our group of 7 included grandparents and a toddler and it was perfect for all of us. While our toddler had his afternoon nap we could still relax in the sun on the very private roof terrace. We managed the walk up to the 3rd flr apartment, and after a few days got used to it. We left our kids buggy on the ground floor for our stay which worked out just fine.
There were loads of toys and books to occupy our little fella. There is also a great library of English books and magazines, so don't bother to pack any! The bedrooms are all located away from the living areas, they stay nice and cool during hot days, and also we never found there was any noise from the street.

The communal pool is very chilled out, lots of loungers to choose from, there was only ever a handful of us there. There are lots of trees too which was great to get some shade in the hotter days.

The gardens and communal areas are maintained really well, the caretaker is always around, and although doesn't speak English he is really helpful. The caretakers of the apartment are also really helpful, with out-of office hours numbers, they speak good English are couldn't have been more helpful to us, we also used them to transfer to and from Malaga airport, they charged us 100euro each way for a minibus.

if you don't know Nerja, you won't know how perfectly situated this apartment is. You stroll through the old part of the town passing a few good bars and restaurants, looking out at the sea, to the Balcon area (main sq). From here you can wander along the winding pretty streets with lots of open air eating available. There are lots of good places to eat, with very reasonable prices. People seem to eat ice cream day and night in Nerja and you'll find you are never too far from ice cream kiosk :)

Tim Tory, the owner, was extremely helpful right throughout our booking, he promptly replied to our many queries. 

The apartment was very clean. Although the decor is lovely, its unfussy, and very comfortable, its also easy to keep clean.

Don't hesitate to book this penthouse if you need space, want to be close to the action, and don't want a hike home from the beach. We felt it was really good value for money, you definitely get more than you pay for. We will be coming back!! (hopefully soon!)"

The apartment was just like the owner had promised. An amazing ocean view, just a few steps to the beach and the city of Nerja was reachable within a little walk. The weather was perfect and everyday an unbelievable sunrise. We had a wonderful time in Nerja enjoying especially the evenings at the roof. The rooms are furnished tasteful and we didn't missed anything. We had a very kindly email contact with the owners and they prepaired us perfectly. Thank you again for that.

We would certainly recommend the apartment, it is a wonderful place.

"This property was everything the description promised and more. We spent nine weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. The penthouse is a first class Architect designed apartment with spectacular views, excellent furniture, and a great location. We were lucky enough to meet Nora and Tim and they were open, friendly, straightforward, and very helpful. The cleaning service is efficient and they even had a friend Allen come in weekly to water plants (and serve as our local advisor!) The location on a clifftop between two beaches with a 180 degree Med view is truly spectacular. Nerja is a lovely little city with lots of restaurants and Tapas bars with plenty to do. We never had a car and used the excellent spanish trains and buses to travel to nearby hill towns and on to Gibralta and Ronda.
I would heartily recommend this property to anyone."

"Just back from this stunning apartment, we had a fantastic holiday. The view were one of the best we have seen. The location was superb! Tim and Nora arranged our transfers from the airport which was great. Also there were a few items in the fridge to get us started which was also great. The town of Nerja is probably one of the nicest areas we have visited in Spain, hadn't heard of it before but it was beautiful. We will definately be back without a doubt! We had a 1 year old with us who had lots of things to play with in the apartment which kept him amused for the week which was a blessing. The weather was hot hot hot so the pool came in very handy it was fab, it was slightly heated so you didnt get a shock when you got in and it was perfect for the wee one as he could saty in and play without getting cold. The garden area was as great and very well kept and all the residents were lovely, not a problem getting a sun lounger either. All in all I would recommend this apartment to aynone, we had a 1 year old to a 78 yrear old with us and it suited everyone, the apartment is huge so not tripping over one another, location was amazing the town fantastic not much more I can say except "we will be back" and Thankyou for letting us use your home."

"What a fantastic holiday! We've just returned from a week in this fabulous penthouse apartment and can honestly say that it exceeded our expectations! There were four generations of our family staying and while our grandaughter played with the great selection of toys/books etc. that are provided my elderly parents soaked up the breathtaking views from both balconies/terraces and living rooms.Everthing about this holiday was perfect from our first contact with the owners Tim & Nora and the tranfers which they arranged to the spotlessly clean exceptionally well equipped accommodation! The location could'nt be better with everything within easy reach from local shops and restaurant to beaches and of course the beautiful Balcon de Europe! I would not hesitate to highly recommend this apartment to any of our family or friends and we will definitely return."

I stayed at this apartment in Nerja with 3 girlfreinds inMay 2008We were delighted with the sizeBedroomsare private with 2bedrooms to one bath.#1 feature is the rooftop terrace facing the sea.Apt is withinwalking distance to the beautiful Burrianna Beach where once you travel downthe huge hill you can stay and enjoy all day long. There are clean,supervised beachchair areas,showerspublic washrooms and plenty fo eat and drink.Try the Paella at orange restaurant at far end of beach The only negative is this is definitelynot aplace to stay if you are physically handicapped .Lots of stairs.

My family (3 generations) had a fantastic 2-week stay at this penthouse. The facilities in the apartment were great and the location was excellent. We didn't have a car and didn't miss one at all. Both the town and the beach were in easy walking distance and we had a wonderful time. There are some really good restaurants in Nerja and we ate out quite a lot and also had lots of fun cooking on the bbq on the very large roof terrace overlooking the sea.

We would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. The owner was most helpful and supplied us with all the information we needed and he arranged transfers to and from the airport, which went like clockwork.

Our family rented this wonderful apartment for a week. There were three generations of us staying at the apartment, ranging from our one year old grandchild to our four kids and us. Without exception, we loved the apartment, the town and everything about our experience at Tuhillo and Nerja.

The apartment is exceptional in every way. It's truly special. The most important things for us in picking a seaside vacation apartment are view and location. This apartment has two separate living rooms, each with unimpeded 180 degree views of the spectacular Nerja coastline. The apartment is frontline, so the only thing between the balcony and the beach is the Tuhillo pool. When we were not in town or on the beach, we were able to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine, soak up the sun and watch our kids at the pool. The apartment has a traditional Spanish spiral staircase leading to a rooftop terrace with 360 view, with the town and hills behind you, and the coast in front of you. Lots of space for the entire family to enjoy the sun and relax.

The apartment is well maintained and furnished in a clean, modern style, with white stone floors. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the large fully equipped kitchen after shopping at the nearby grocery store. The laundry alcove off the kitchen is very convenient. In true Spanish style, we even hung our clothes to dry on the rooftop terrace clothesline! The bathrooms are large and even with our big group there were no hot water problems for morning showers. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobe space.

The location of the apartment was perfect for our needs. In town, but at the quiet eastern end, away from the hustle and bustle of the Balcon area. You literally can walk from the apartment to any place in town in a matter of a few minutes. Access to the beach is right outside the apartment’s front gate. Nerja has good restaurants of all variety and price points. Again, all within an easy walk. Our children, ages 17 to 23, went out every night and always had a great time. While they stayed out very late on occasion, we felt they were safe and there were never any security issues.

The owners are very welcoming and responsive to questions about the apartment as well as the area. It was wonderful to deal with them directly and not through an agency.

In conclusion, we can’t imagine that there is a better place to stay on the Costa del Sol. We recommend it without reservation.

"From the moment I made contact with Nora (the owner) I knew I had made the right choice, Nora will answer any questions you have and the booking arrangements were excellent.
I cannot say enough good things about this apartment, it is very large with 4 good size bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen and toys and videos for the children.  The views are spectacular from the balcony and the roof terrace, we loved it and re-booked as soon as we got home.
Should anything go wrong there is a mantainence company which looks after everything for you so no worries there.
The location is excellent just at the quiet end of the Carabeo road, about 8 minute walk to the Balcon.

You would not be disappointed with this apartment it is excellent."

I stayed with my husband and two teenage sons in February 08. The apartment is very nicely done, and spacious with stunning sea views. Very close to the  Balcon and shopping area as well was being only about 100 yards (or metres) to the beach. The apartment building is nice and quiet and other residents seem to respect that too. There is plenty to do in Nerja.

"This property was everything and more than we expected.
A spacious layout provided plenty of room for six or eight people.
The description very accurately described the apartment which was superbly maintained and cleaned.
I would and have recommended this property to friends and family and we are looking at returning in 2010. 
We couldn't believe our luck in finding accommodations like this.
The town of Nerja fantastic. It is filled with shops and restaurants to satisfy all your needs and desires.
One week there is not enough!
