This wonderful vacation home is frontline Mediterranean. The spectacular panoramic view of the sea, and miles of dramatic mountainous coastline have been featured in international Spanish tourism ads.

It was lovingly designed by its architect/owner who merged two standard apartments into one unique space for his family, with two sea-facing terraces, two lounge areas, a private rooftop barbeque for dining under the stars and a Community pool. Sleeps 7. Perfect position.

A message from Tim:

3L was born from a dream in the late 60’s, when I put my Canadian architecture career on hold to pursue my love of songwriting. Ultimately I returned to Canada and to architecture but I had fallen deeply in love with the south of Spain.

Years later, I returned with Nora to create a place where we could raise our sons, Sebastian and Ben. For 14 years, we spent 6 months a year in Nerja, renting out 3L each time we returned to Canada. The boys attended local Spanish schools, and with them we developed lasting connections with the local community.

We have a true love of Nerja and the rest of Andalucia, and enjoy helping others come to know it as we have. If you stay at 3L we will do everything we can to help you get the most out of your vacation.

  • The Nerja Caves (Spain's 2nd most visited tourist site) are the town's most internationally-known attraction, but the location also caters to other interests.

    The Balcon de Europa is a bustling town square overlooking the sea, surrounded by many shops and restaurants

    Burriana beach is the closest of Nerja’s many beaches.

    Church of El Salvador, in Baroque and Mudéjar style (17th century)

    Maro, a coastal village within Nerja's municipal term

    The Chillar River is a popular hike up into the mountains

  • The beach offers a variety of activities from pedal boats to parasailing, but you can also head inland. Rent a mountain bike, a motor scooter.

    The area is well known for its walking paths in the mountains surrounding the town. (Published guide books available locally.) Plenty of watersports, quad bike tours through the mountains and more.

    Tired yet? Time to wind down over wine and an evening meal at any of a number of great restaurants, both at the beach and in town.

  • Pick yourself a book off one of the shelves and settle into a chair on the front terrace or one of our sun loungers on the private roof deck or, better yet, poolside in the communal garden overlooking the beach. There are worse ways to pass a week!

    Penthouse has no lift. Stairs up 2 1/2 floors are fine for most people but may be a challenge if mobility impaired.

Is there parking?

Large public/municipal parking lot 240 m down the street. Weekly rates available with in/out privileges.

Parking for a standard rental car in a private garage may be available, depending dates (100E/wk)

Are there restaurants close by?

The apartment is in a residential area with restaurants, street cafes, and grocery stores all nearby.

How far to the beach?

Staircase down to the beach is 75 meters from the apartment gate. A separate paved ramp down is a short walk away.

Is there AC throughout the apartment?

Yes. AC units in the main living areas and each of the bedrooms

How far to town centre?

The main town square, the Balcon de Europa, is a short 6 minute walk away.

Can you arrange an airport pick up for us?

Happy to do so. Apartment key will be in a lockbox at the door.

Can we get extra cleaning service?

You can arrange extra cleanings during your stay with our property manager at your cost, no problem

Payment methods?

We accept payment by bank transfer, E-transfer, PayPal, or personal cheque. (🡪25% deposit required at time of booking. Balance due 3 wks before arrival.)

COVID-19

If COVID-19 travel restrictions make your visit impossible we will review the dates of your booking, if possible, to a future available date.
